From a peaceful corner… to a green space at Maruay Garden Hotel
Amid the hustle and bustle of the city, Maruay Garden Hotel remains surrounded by large trees, green spaces, and a variety of gardens that have been carefully nurtured and beautifully maintained.
One small story that reflects our commitment to Sustainability is the reuse of an old bathtub. Originally from a guest room that had undergone renovation, the bathtub was given a new purpose instead of being discarded as waste.
What was once part of a guest room has now been transformed into a vegetable garden, creating a productive and beneficial green space. This is an example of Reuse and the efficient use of resources, while also helping to increase the hotel’s green space.
At Maruay Garden Hotel, we believe that sustainability begins with small ideas and with recognising the value of things that can be given a new purpose.
“Transforming the old into something valuable, creating more green spaces for a sustainable future.”
Maruey Garden Hotel places environmental responsibility on an equal footing with the luxury and comfort we are committed to providing our guests. This is why we are dedicated to sustainability through our Zero Food Waste Project, which transforms kitchen food waste into valuable resources, helping to reduce waste while caring for our world.
Every day, our restaurants offer a wide variety of dishes to our guests. However, we do not allow leftover food to simply end up in the trash. Instead, we carefully sort the food waste and make the most of what can be reused.
Fresh fruits and vegetables are collected and processed into natural bio-fermented fertilizer, which is then used to water and nourish the plants in our hotel gardens, helping them grow lush and healthy.
The remaining food waste is repurposed as feed for pigs and fish, giving food waste a second life while reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
Through the Zero Food Waste Project, Maruay Garden Hotel is proud to take meaningful steps toward a more sustainable future where hospitality, comfort, and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
